GreenCircle Certified, Amazon, and Procter & Gamble to Host Webinar on Sustainability at the Point of Purchase

Exploring the Role of Certification in Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly Program

ROYERSFORD, PA. (April 2, 2026) — GreenCircle Certified, in collaboration with Amazon and Procter & Gamble, will host a one-hour webinar titled “Sustainability at the Point of Purchase: The Role of Certification in Amazon Climate Pledge Friendly” on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM EST.

Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly (CPF) program helps customers easily discover products that meet trusted sustainability standards. In this webinar, Amazon, Procter & Gamble, and GreenCircle Certified will discuss how third-party certifications support CPF eligibility, enhance product visibility, and help brands communicate credible environmental progress at the point of purchase.

The session will feature GreenCircle’s Sustainable Energy Practices (SEP) certification, the newest GreenCircle certification approved under Amazon CPF. SEP verifies measurable energy efficiency improvements and documented transitions toward cleaner energy use at the manufacturing facility level, providing brands with a clear, operations-based pathway to CPF product participation.

“Brands are doing the work to improve energy performance, but that progress often stays buried in internal data,” said Sara Risley, Certification Officer at GreenCircle Certified. “Certification helps translate those improvements into something visible and credible at the point of purchase, where customers are actually making decisions.”

Attendees will gain insight into CPF program data, which shows that products participating in Climate Pledge Friendly achieve, on average, a 12% sales lift and a 10% increase in glance views in the first year. The discussion will also highlight how certifications such as SEP, Recycled Content, and Certified Energy Savings align with CPF criteria and help brands increase discoverability while maintaining claim integrity.
