Affiliations and Recognitions

International Living Future Institute (ILFI): The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) develops building and product design and disclosure programs in order to make communities socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative. GreenCircle is recognized as a valid third-party certification entity by International Living Future Institute (ILFI). GreenCircle provides third-party verification for the Living Product Challenge and Declare, providing an added layer of trust and transparency to manufacturers' claims within these programs.

Health Product Declaration Collaborative (HPDC): The Health Product Declaration Collaborative (HPDC) develops HPD standards and best practices in order to promote transparency and disclosure within the materials marketplace. GreenCircle is recognized as a valid third-party verifier by the HPDC, being the first entity approved to verify HPDs through the HPDC third-party verification pilot program. GreenCircle is an Associate Member of the HPDC.

Department of Defense: GreenCircle's Certified Environmental Facts™ label is recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense as an effective tool for federal procurement agents to source sustainable products. GreenCircle and the DOD developed and completed a Multi-Attribute Label Pilot Program using the Certified Environmental Facts label.

Clean Production Action: In an effort to provide alternative compliance paths to some of LEED v4’s most confusing Material Ingredient credits, GreenCircle and GreenScreen/Clean Production Action have partnered to facilitate the development of Manufacturer’s Inventories and to certify that products do not contain GreenScreen Benchmark 1 chemicals. Bringing together Clean Production Action’s GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals methodology and GreenCircle’s third-party certification expertise, this partnership will simplify and streamline LEED v4 Materials and Resource credits for LEED project teams, architects, and manufacturers alike. 

Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC): GreenCircle Certified, LLC is certified as a women's business enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation's largest third-party certifier of the businesses owned and operated by women in the U.S. The WBENC organization, founded in 1997, is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations. WBENC is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States.

The Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and recognize purchasing leadership that accelerates the transition to a prosperous and sustainable future. Using collaboration among members, the Council aims to enhance clarity, consistency and coordination around sustainability in the institutional procurement marketplace. As part of the organization's Founder's Circle and as a Market Advisor, GreenCircle will utilize its industry expertise to provide insight for developing sustainable purchasing standards.

ASTM International Member: Formed in 2008, the ASTM Committee E60 on Sustainability has approximately 550 members on three technical sub-committees. ASTM members help develop sustainability standards that are published in the Annual Book of ASTM standards. These international standards help increase the sustainable development of products. By joining ASTM E60, it is GreenCircle's goal to help drive sustainable development. GreenCircle can provide expert input which can contribute directly to these published sustainability standards and drive continuous improvement throughout the marketplace.

LEED Green Building Rating Systems: GreenCircle is recognized by the USGBC and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating Systems as a valid third-party certification entity. GreenCircle certifies manufacturer inventories to be compliant with the building product disclosure and optimization section within the LEED v4 Materials and Resources credit. Products certified for recycled content through GreenCircle also demonstrate conformance with the Materials and Resources credit for recycled content for building products. GreenCircle certification can be used as documentation for recycled content and rapidly renewable content within LEED projects.

Home Innovation Research Labs: GreenCircle is recognized by the Home Innovation Research Labs (HIRL) as a valid third-party certifier of recycled content. GreenCircle will help manufacturers achieve the 'Green Approved' products label to earn points toward certifying a building under the National Green Building Standard. The HIRL Green Approved mark is also intended to facilitate the verification of the green practices incorporated into the building during field inspections by providing the accredited verifier with assurance that the product is eligible for the points claimed by the builder.

Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center (RMC): The Pennsylvania Recycling Markets Center (RMC), the leader in developing recycling markets in Pennsylvania, has formed an exclusive partnership with GreenCircle to establish a voluntary, independent evaluation process to certify products with recycled content. The ultimate purpose of this partnership is to enhance the RMC's mission of building recycling markets in Pennsylvania - by driving an increase in the use of recycled raw materials and encouraging the manufacture and sale of more products with recycled content.
